We’re home! So we celebrated!

This past Friday, May 16th, Organic Valley employees and their families gathered in the La Farge Park to celebrate the grand opening of our newly rebuilt headquarters, just one year after the fire destroyed more than half our building. There was some déjà vu since it was almost one year ago that we were in the same park, honoring the firefighters and congratulating the employees and other community members for their hard work and dedication to the cooperative in the week following the fire.

The La Farge Park is directly across the street from the building so attendees were able to enjoy the beautiful view of the sun setting by our “new” building, while sharing a meal and listening to a blues band. The highlight of the night was when Jerry McGeorge, VP of Cooperative Affairs, presented local fire departments with checks ranging from $1,000 to $96,000 to assist them with their heroic efforts in their communities.

As our CEO George Siemon said early last week, we are incredibly thankful to everyone that supported us and helped us to continue to believe in the cooperative spirit.
