It’s been a little over a week since the fire at Organic Valley headquarters, and we are all adjusting well to our new homes and schedules. As our routines become familiar again, we thought it was the perfect time to have a celebration!

On Wednesday night after work, just 8 days after the fire, Organic Valley employees and their families gathered in the La Farge park, next to our headquarters building, to honor the firefighters and to congratulate the employees for their hard work.

The main reason for the party was to have some good old fashioned fun and lift everyone’s spirits after a very stressful week. It was nice to know that we can still find a reason to celebrate and with good music, might I add. Organic Valley’s own homegrown band of CROPPies past and present, Cultivate, played some rockin’ tunes and many took the opportunity to let loose and dance. It was a beautiful sight to behold.

Seeds at the Annual Plant Swap

We were also able to have our Annual Plant Swap, which was originally scheduled for the Thursday after the fire. The Plant Swap is an event employees look forward to all year so it was great to be able to carry on the tradition.

George Siemon, our CEIEIO, spoke about the heroic efforts of the local firefighters who came to our rescue. We all felt how lucky we are to live in a community that came together to help us in our time of need.
